Bymyra Upper Basic School students develop into independent and confident advocates for themselves and their peers as they assume increased responsibility for their learning.

Welcome to the upper grade with a daily schedule advisor, team sport, and your own locker. After the years spent in the lower school, grade 6 students are always excited to cross the threshold into the upper school.  There, they begin to take on more responsibility in every area of their life. Teachers provide encouragement and support to help students grow in self-awareness and self-discipline to manage the increasingly challenging coursework in Bymyra. We also emphasize socio-emotional growth.  Each student has an advisor to whom he or she can turn for assistance.  A middle school counsellor is also available to help students adjust to the transition or negotiate friendship dynamics that may be challenging as students mature and explore new interests.

The upper-grade school experience at Bymyra offers a challenging, yet engaging curriculum coupled with the skills needed to flourish in an increasingly dynamic and complex world.

Our team of committed staff of teachers ensures timely and sufficient coverage of the school syllabus. This prepares our students to excel in all examinations (both internally and externally). So far, our school continues to produce a hundred percent pass in all examinations; as most of our students graduate with flying colours.
